Black Sea Bass

Monday, October 5th, 2009

fishing 2007 040As of today, Monday Oct 5, NOAA announced the temporary closure of the black sea bass in the federal waters North of Cape Hatteras for 180 days.

This doesn’t effect us locally but if you are planning to go to the Outer Banks be informed.
Maybe they should lower the size back down so that you can keep what you catch, but limit more closely how many to keep? Who knows, that’s why I cannot stay behind a desk.

Fall Fishing in Full Swing

Sunday, October 4th, 2009

Fall fishing is in full swing!  The kings have started feeding along with the spanish and the sails. Mahi and wahoo are out at the stream and the grouper bite is excellent. This weeks seas are calm and beautiful. Don’t pass up on this weather!
