Q What do I need to bring on the trip?

A Whatever you would like to eat or drink. Bring your sunglasses too.

Q May I bring a cooler onboard?

 

A Yes, with your drinks on ice. There is no need to bring a cooler to put your fish into.

Q What is your cancellation policy?

 

A You may cancel up to 3 days in advance with no charge.

Q What if we do not go due to bad weather?

 

A There is no charge if Captain Steve cancels the trip due to bad weather.

Q Should I tip?

 

A If you have a good time, a 10 to 15% tip in total is customary per trip.

Q Who cleans the fish?

 

A Capt. or First Mate, unless there are tons of bottom fish. Then you will need to use the local fish market. But generally, we clean the fish for you and pack the fillets in ziplock bags. This work is included in the tip.

Q May small children go?

 

A Yes, children of all ages are welcome.

Q Is our bankcard run for a deposit at the time the reservation is made?

 

A No. And when the trip is completed, you will need to pay by cash, check or credit card.

Q Is there an opportunity to sell the fish?

 

A No, except maybe yellowfin tuna.

Q What do you think works best to avoid seasickness?

 

A Take ginger pills or eat Ginger Snaps. The ear patch is also good.

A 600 gallons.

Q When a fish hits the bait, does the First Mate or Captain go to the rod?

 

A No, the customer goes to the rod and begins reeling in the fish. This is a major difference between the 'FOLLOW ME' and other charterboats.

Q How much does the 'FOLLOW ME' cost brand new?

 

A About $400,000. The 'FOLLOW ME' is a 1993 model Luhrs and is worth about $200,000. You may visit the Luhrs web site by clicking here http://www.luhrs.com/ Back in 1993, this boat was listed as a 38ft but in the last five years and today is been listed as a 40ft.

Q Where are Luhrs boats made and how long have they been in business?

Q How did you decide on the name 'FOLLOW ME'?

 

A We named the boat after a song named FOLLOW ME written and sung by the late John Denver. The song says follow me and I will take you places you have never been and show you things you have never seen - which we do on the 'FOLLOW ME.' For example, we usually see flying fish and barracuda offshore and visit shipwrecks such as the Houston, Governor, General Sherman, Hebe, and St. Cathan.

Q Does Capt. Steve accept bank cards?

 

A Yes, although cash or checks are preferred.

Q How many people can go on the trip?

 

 

A All trips are for up to six people.
