Pictured below is Capt. Fred, a United States Coast Guard certified captain with 50 years experience inshore and offshore fishing.  When he is not fishing, Capt. Fred is a retired Professor of Management at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC; he lives at Ocean Isle and runs fishing charters year-round from Ocean Isle. Give Fred a call to go “catching” rather than “fishing.” He guarantees a fun time catching fish. He knows where the fish are offshore. He enjoys making “lifetime fishermen” of kids from age 5 to 95. Married 44 years, Fred and Joy have three grown children (Forest, Byron, and Meredith) and two wonderful grandsons (Everett and Cooper). Capt. Fred wrote the book titled “The History of Ocean Isle Beach” so if desired he can tell you stories about pirates and Indians and the Civil War and WWII as to what was going on at Ocean Isle Beach back in those days. Just ask Capt. Fred any questions anytime about fishing or the history of this area. Fred grew up in Whiteville, NC and graduated from Wake Forest University (BS and MBA), and the University of South Carolina (PhD). Lets go fishing. Give me a call. Thank you.
